She holds a bachelors degree in Biochemistry & Cellular Molecular Biology from Connecticut College and an MSc. in Pharmacology from the University of Rochester. Amanda is very passionate about drug pharmacology and understanding drug safety and efficacy. Apart from science, Amanda is committed to helping and motivating people. Too often we find ourselves in jobs, schools, and relationships where we are genuinely unhappy. We fail to walk away from these situations due to either fear of failure or fear of disappointment. We are afraid of what lies ahead and so we would rather stay stagnant and live in comfort. Or we choose the “comfortable road” so as to not disappoint our family and friends who have been cheering us along. Perpetuating this cycle of unhappiness may seem like a good idea in the the short term, as it allows us to avoid making tough decisions, but I would argue that taking the easy route is one of the biggest and costliest decisions we could make in life. It is OK to Fail: Why You Should Embrace Failure

I wholeheartedly believe that in order to succeed, we must accomplish two things: (1) we must fail and (2) we need to learn how to embrace failure. Failure doesn’t mean you are incapable, weak and/or undeserving.  Failure itself is just failure. It is inescapable. It is what you take away from failing that is important.
